The Barnabas Ministry is a visitation ministry of Union Church of Quincy.
In the early church Barnabas was a leader who provided an example of encourgement. Paul once gave up on the young “John Mark” during a mission venture, but Barnabas did not. “John Mark” went on to learn from Barnabas and eventually wrote down the Gospel of Mark (from writing down Peter’s account of Jesus) and then later assisting Paul while he was in prison. Mark went on to become the key leader in the church of Alexandria (North Africa).
The Barnabas ministry seeks to come alongside people, guests, members, shut-ins, the lonely, those who need a comforting, encouraging, kind presence.
