Rev. Dr. Scott Arnold has served in American Baptist Churches in ordained pastoral ministry since 1984. He has been married to Marilyn Penacerrda Arnold since 1983. He is a graduate of Luther Rice University (DMIN), a graduate of Northern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDIV Urban Ministry), and is a graduate of Michigan State University (DS Urban Planning). Scott has written books on Discipleship, Spiritual Gifts, the Kingdom of God, and is researching Paul’s letter to the Romans for a book on “Ruin and Redemption”. Dr. Arnold also enjoys studying Baptist History, and has John Clarke and Roger Williams as his heroes. Scott is the Pastoral Staff Chaplain for Branch County Community Health Center (part time). His diversity of experience involves a Presbyterian upbringing with Baptist influences from his grandfather. From young adulthood he chose believer’s baptism in Christ and has served within American Baptist Churches in Michigan, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Scott is theologically and biblically alert to God’s call to lead Union Church, a dually aligned Presbyterian/Baptist church.
Dr. Arnold enjoys playing guitar, fishing, and spending time with his family. In addition to setting the vision for the church as a whole and delivering the weekly message. He participates in the praise band and choir.
Dr. and Mrs. Arnold have three college-age sons. Marilyn is a nurse with critical care experience (BSN-RN). Marilyn is Filipino, and came to the US in 1979. She was blessed by the ministry of American Baptist Missionaries at Central Philippine University in Iloilo City. Scott and Marilyn are blessed to serve Christ together.
Scott has authored or co-authored three books: Shine: A Celebration of Spiritual Gifts, Come Follow Jesus, and Soul Fruit: Bearing Blessings Through Cancer.
Associate Pastor Jacob Fronczak is a military brat who has ministered on three continents. From leading Bible studies in Seoul to playing rock concerts for Campus Crusade in Sydney, he has worked with both youth and adults across the world to further the Kingdom of God. He enjoys reading theology textbooks, playing guitar and piano, and relaxing at home with his family. Jacob leads the praise band as well as coordinating the youth and small group ministries at Union Church.
Jacob has one son with his wife Sarah, and another on the way. He is currently working on an M.Div from Liberty University, in preparation for ordination through the American Baptist Churches (USA). His personal blog can be found at Hope Abbey.
